Position: Powerplant Director
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Role Overview:
Management of engine/APU maintenance and contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all technical aspects of the fleet - engines and APU portfolio, engine and APU contract management including delivery redelivery activity, technical records, workshop management, control processes, engine manufacturer technical relationships, technical service providers, shop visit invoice review and approval, budgetary planning and control.
- Manage current fleet of 44 aircraft with three different engine combinations (A330/A320 CEO/A320NEO).
- Ensure availability of positive net engine spares to ensure no-AOG due to engine issues and manage engine and APU shop visits.
- Ensure OEM advisories/CNRs are closed in the stipulated time frame.
- Line up with engine/APU manufacturers/OEMs to find short term/long term solutions to in-service problems and carryout scrap parts/piece parts inspection as required.
- Oversight of engine/APU related OEM technical publications, i.e. AD's, SB's, SL's etc. and provide necessary decision for compliance in-house or during the engine SV.
- Coordinate with different departments for maintenance program/practices improvement/day to day functions with a view to reduce engineering delays, MEL, pilot reports (PIREPs).
- Special tasks/projects assigned by VP Engineering/COO.
- Manage on the shop visits for redelivery aircraft engines and APU and ensure work scope are built to meet the delivery condition.
- Ensure team is adequately trained to handle fleet operation.
- Provide them exposure to attend conferences organised by OEMs.
- Shop visit exposure.
Qualifications & Skills
- Academic Qualifications: MBA and/or other Masters degree.
- Professional Experience: 11 years and above.
- 20+ years of experience with certification.
- Experience of more than 15 years specifically on engine and APU management, Boroscope inspections, aircraft deliveries and redeliveries and ensure zero - AOG in the fleet.
